Our May 28th Sports Cards & Memorabilia auction features a broad range of material across multiple sports — from game-worn items and signed pieces to vintage cards, signed memorabilia, and non-sports cards. A few highlights are noted below; the full catalog coming soon!

Featured Collection

The Locker Room Collection — Part I

Built by a longtime member of the media with direct locker room and clubhouse access from the 1970s through the present day, The Locker Room Collection represents something increasingly rare in today’s hobby: material obtained firsthand, directly from the athletes themselves, and preserved together ever since. These are not pieces that passed through multiple collections — they come with a clear and personal story from the moment they left the field, court, or locker room.

At the center of Part I is Michael Jordan’s game-worn Air Jordan VIII sneakers from Game 5 of the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals at Madison Square Garden, a game in which Jordan recorded one of only two playoff triple-doubles of his career, finishing with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists. Beyond the centerpiece, the collection spans game-worn shoes from Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Hardaway, and Grant Hill; game-used and signed bats from Tony Gwynn, Joe Carter, and Ozzie Smith; signed cleats from Andre Dawson, Doc Gooden, and Darryl Strawberry; and a 1991-92 Chicago Bulls team-signed basketball representing one of the most celebrated championship rosters in NBA history.

Auction Highlights

Early Baseball Postcards Including the 1907 Wolverine News Ty Cobb

This sale includes a group of early baseball postcards fresh to market from a West Coast estate, where they had been displayed on the walls of a collector’s home since the early 20th century. The highlight is a 1907 Wolverine News Company Detroit Tigers Ty Cobb “Batting” postcard, graded PSA 1 — one of only 12 graded by PSA, with only 7 graded higher. The Wolverine News issue is considered one of Cobb’s earliest cards, predating his well-known T206, and was produced to coincide with the Tigers’ 1907 World Series appearance. The group also includes additional cards from the same set, plus rare 1908 Chicago Cubs and White Sox postcards.

Yankees Historical Documents

A strong group of Yankees-related documents, including original 1921 Yankee Stadium engineering drawings, a Thurman Munson signed 1969 Puerto Rico player contract, a 1934 Yankees team-signed baseball, and 1942 production storyboards from Pride of the Yankees.

Michael Jordan Memorabilia

Beyond the Locker Room Collection, the auction features several additional Jordan pieces including a signed baseball jersey, signed basketball jersey, a PSA 9 graded 1986 Fleer rookie card, original and more.

Roberto Clemente Signed Topps Cards

Multiple signed Clemente Topps cards — signed examples on cardboard are genuinely scarce and don’t come up together very often.

Non-Sports Cards Cards including Pokemon

Both Vintage and Modern sports cards including collection of Pokemon cards, with some CGC graded.

Kobe Bryant Signed SI Kids Rookie Card Uncut Sheet

A signed uncut sheet from Bryant’s rookie year alongside Allen Iverson and Kerry Kittles: a possibly unique signed card that stands apart from standard signed card offerings.

Boxing Memorabilia

Incredible boxing memorabilia spanning the sport’s most recognized eras and fighters from multiple great collections.
